Sharkoon X-Tatic SP Non Wireless Gaming Headset for Music and Games

There’s a lot of attention these days paid to wireless gaming and how it can expand your overall experience. And indeed, wireless gaming allows you to explore different possibilities that were impossible just a few short years ago. It’s definitely changed the inherent nature how people interact with each other and offers a level of performance that is truly impressive. Having said that, not everyone can afford expensive wireless devices that can break a normal person’s bank account. Nor is everyone a dedicated fan who plays games every day of the week. It’s nice to know there are products designed for everyday consumers while being able to tap into essential features as well. The Sharkoon X-Tatic is the perfect example of a non-wireless gaming headset that will absolutely blow you away.

It all depends on your style anyways, and for some wireless gaming is not a viable option. Some people simply don’t like the uncertainty of a transmission signal cutting off at any second. Others might have different pieces of equipment that are incompatible with various devices thereby rendering a wireless product useless. You don’t have to worry about that with the Sharkoon X-Tatic because you can tap into your chosen gaming platform easily. Is the epitome of a plug-and-play model that requires minimal setup while allowing you to get on with your gaming.

Some people enjoy configuring different settings so that they can maximize the overall experience, and you’ll have plenty of chance to do that with the Sharkoon X-Tatic. While you can certainly get your favorite games without reading the instruction manual, there are ways to personalize settings at the same time. It’s nice to know that you can come up with a configuration no one else can replicate, and it will really fit your own gaming style. This comes in handy where reflexes and intuition are important such as games involving first-person shooters or role-playing. You’ll also enjoy enhanced sound for simpler games like simulations or racing as well.

In many ways the communication is clearer than what you would get with a wireless gaming headset. Thanks to a direct cable you’ll be able to coordinate plans or talk your opponents while making sure that you are heard. There are internal controls that maximize chat levels so that you don’t miss out on any of the action. It’s also nice to be able to tune out certain sounds in case you want to really focus on what’s happening on screen. You’ll also get even more value from this product since it can be used as a set of wireless TV headphones for regular music and television applications. When you factor this in, you get an overall package that anyone can use to enhance their overall home entertainment experience.

Careers in Music and Audio Engineering for Calgary Vets

Young men coming out of their last tour in the services often are confronted with some serious decisions regarding their future careers and living quarters. Although, many positions in the service do teach some very valuable job skills, some of the specialized skills are unique to military life and unless the veteran is interested in working in private security forces will not be very likely to be able to be used again. But, with some lateral thinking you can quickly re-educate yourself and get some excellent positions

But for the recent massive influx of vets coming out into civilian life in the Calgary area, finding Calgary apartments for rent can be difficult. If you quickly get that issue solved you will find that the local Entertainment and Music Industry offers an excellent opportunity for your unique skillset.Your technological experience in the service actually opens up a very lucrative and very open job field as an Audio Engineer. Audio Engineers get to travel in some highly desirable areas such as the Florida Keys , the coast of Alaska and many of the Island destinations that one wants to visit to get away from the Calgary cold. The huge plus is that rather than pay for expensive cruise or private charter tickets one gets to Captain the dance floor and make between 60k and 100k a year.

Its a lucrative position and the job field is currently wide open. The technological skills and requirements to works as an Audio tech on a  Charter Boat are rather involved. But a former Seaman is in a great position to have the majority of the required experience and knowledge. Most still do take a training course in order to get their required Audio Engineering certificates .

Taking the AE test can be quite difficult if one is unprepared, as suggested, the background one receives in the Military really gives you a leg up on the other candidates but it is in no way a shoe in for having the full breadth of knowledge required. Often, very experienced Engineers take the course in order to acquire new skills that afford them further opportunities operating in different arenas of this Industry. Technology is changing quickly and being familiar with the latest software and hardware advances is a must to stay viable.

When your really making a dance floor rock or mixing some rock stars latest hit you will really look back at your days manning the control boards on ship as being valuable experience!

How Music Continues To Evolve In The Digital Era

It is fascinating to simply think about or study the evolution of music and music consumption within the last few decades. From the vinyl records and cassette tapes of our parents, to the CDs and mp3s of today, the way we acquire and enjoy our favorite music has evolved and is continuing to revolutionize itself.

Remember the Walkman? When Sony’s iconic portable cassette and FM device came out, music listening became a very personal experience. People could now take the music they liked, customize their playlists, and listen to it anywhere they were. More innovations such as the Discman and MD players followed soon.

As the compact disc began to rise in popularity, the sound quality also improved. Music lovers also began to be more discriminating about the clarity of the recordings, and big, bulky studio headphones found their way onto the streets more and more.

Then came the mp3, fueled by the Internet revolution. With music captured digitally and at an even better quality than its predecessors, fans began to use their computers for getting and sharing music at faster progressions. Digital music players like iPods became an everyday item. Now, online streaming sites feature customizable playlists, and you can also store your music on cloud services for accessing anywhere with an Internet connection.

Learning music has also transformed. Almost any resource or lesson can be obtained online. If you do not want to spend hundreds of dollars to learn the guitar, you can get online lessons, and many of the best guitar lessons online have webcam sessions with professional instructors so you get that personal interaction with an expert.

With all these improvements and advances in music, one can only guess where we will be a few years from now and how we will be enjoying our preferred music styles.

Business Opportunities with Your Music

If you are into creating music and you’re having a hard time getting your work out, don’t worry, there are other ways for you to make some money. If you search for home based business opportunities for music, you will find a couple of ways to profit. One way is through donations. There are sites that offer royalty free music which you can place your music on. When people download your music, you will get a fee. Some sites go by donation so it’ll be up to the customer to pay. This might not sound very appealing but one great reason to go this route is that people looking for royalty free music will often use it for some type of promotional purpose such as a commercial and since they have to give you credit (if you opt into that), people hearing the music can look you up and find more of your music to purchase.

Now because you may have people potentially looking you up, you want to make sure you have a website for people to find you. Here, you can upload clips of your music. You can create videos on Youtube and link back to your site as well. Not every artist likes giving away free music but sometimes, it’s the best way to get your name out there.

The Xia Xia Commercial

You may not have heard of them up until now but very soon the xia xia pets are going to be on the toy list for all kids this year. The xia xia pets video is going to make sure of that. It is simple but fill of fun and it shows the kids just what they are going to get if they do get them bought for them this year. It is a great little toy that is going to get them really excited and they will spend hours playing with them.

The xia xia hermit crabs video has fun music playing and is pretty fast paced. It shows you the crabs scuttling around the place and it shows you them getting up to all sorts of mischief. What a great fun toy this is. And the great thing is that they are also very cheap to buy so you can be sure that they are going to be very popular with parents, there is no doubt about that.

Just be sure to try to buy them as early as you possibly can, they are very popular so they may well be out of stock near to the end of the year.

Decorating Your Home Music Studio

If you are one of the lucky few people that can afford to build a music studio in your home, my hat’s off to you.  When you are planning the decor, though, there are a few different styles you may want to consider.  Using a tropical motif for your studio will help you, and other musicians relax while they are composing, helping them get out their truest sound possible.

One of the best ways to achieve a tropical style in your studio is to use bamboo blinds over the windows.  The thick slats of the blinds will help you block out the light coming in when you want to darken out the room, and let plenty of light in when you or the other musicians are in a brighter mood.

However, if you prefer not to use real wood blinds in your studio, for whatever reasons, a cheaper option is to use faux wood blinds.  These blinds mimic the style and feel of real wood blinds but generally take less maintenance to keep them looking sharp.

Regardless of which style you choose for the studio, putting together a tropical feel is going to help musicians relax and get into the mood to produce some excellent music.

Family Fun With Lego Board Games

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the whole family you might want to check out these Lego board games. Here you can find several different designs with something that will appeal to most everyone from the Lego Hogwarts game for the Harry Potter fans to the Pirate game for fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean to the Lego Robo game for kids who love robots.

The main thing is that you can find something here that that the whole family will enjoy.  My kids love the Harry Potter game and we all enjoy playing it with them.  I think that over the years will all the advances in electronics board games have unfortunately become less popular and that is a real shame because if you never spend the time with your kids playing these games they are really missing out on an important aspect of family life.

So if you’re looking for something fun to do with the family on game night every week then be sure to give some of these games a try.  They also make great Christmas presents for everyone to enjoy from the kids to parents and even the grandparents.  The main thing is that you will all be spending fun quality time together.

The Kindle Fire Works Great For Playing Music Videos

If you like to play a lot of music videos and watch a lot of movies then you’re going to love the Kindle Fire.  This cool little tablet computer is awesome for watching movies, playing videos and Mp3′s as well as for browsing the internet and even reading your emails.  It comes with a surprisingly large amount of memory but if for some reason you find yourself needing more Amazon Cloud storage is available free of charge.  In case you’ve never heard of it Amazon Cloud is online storage for your movies, videos and documents .

Price wise you’re also going to find that it’s much more affordable than for instance the iPad which last I checked retailed for around $ 500.  For that price you can purchase two Kindle Fires’s and still have a little cash left over.

Because of the low price and all of the great features the Kindle Fire also makes a great gift.  Only problem is that this cool little tablet computer is also  expected to sell out quickly so you may want to get your order in soon, otherwise you just might have to wait a while.  Because last I heard thousands and thousands were already on pre-order.

Gift Ideas For A 13 Year Old Boy

Are you having problems picking out a birthday or Christmas gift for a 13 year old boy this year?  For some reason 13 seems to be the age that a lot of people have trouble buying for, one reason for this may be the fact that he is now a teen and a lot of people just have no idea of what to buy for a teen.

In my experience teen boys like all of the same stuff that other boys like, of course you don’t want to get a 13 year old exactly the same thing as 8 year old for instance who may still like Power Rangers. But you probably get the idea, boys are boys and they still like the same stuff no matter what their age.  The only thing is that their stuff gets more complicated and expensive the older that they get.

So if you’re looking for some good ideas about what to get a 13 year old boy for a birthday or Christmas be sure to check out this gift guide I’ve been using it for a while now and have to say that it is spot on!  I’ve purchased several of the items profiled here for my son and he couldn’t be happier with my choices.  I really love all of the author’s choices and plan on using some of her other gift buying guides when I do my holiday shopping this year.

Why you Need a Laptop Cooler

Overheating laptop problems are the bane of music and movie lovers alike, Stuttering songs and jilting videos ruin any chance of an enjoyable experience. Most of the time these problems are caused by internal components of your laptop overheating.  The good news you can use one of the best laptop coolers to help lower those temperatures, and improve performance!

Choosing the best laptop cooler for media is a big decision. Laptop coolers vary greatly in size, performance and noise levels.  If you are a true music lover for instance you will probably want to minimize the fan noises, in which case a Zalman notebook cooler such as the Zalman NC3000 will be a great choice. It is quiet, powerful and reliable.

A laptop cooler such as this will help solve those overheating issues, allowing you to listen to music and watch your movies in peace.

If you like to play games however, you may want to look for one of the more powerful laptop coolers, since games often make your laptop work harder and hotter than media use.  Gaming laptop coolers tend to be a lot louder, but also provide much better cooling performance.

Even if you only use your laptop lightly, chances are it still gets pretty hot.  Using a laptop cooler will help prevent and reduce heat damage to your laptop!
